Build a self-serve tax operations platform for TikTok’s creator and merchant monetization businesses. Own backend product capabilities for tax rate maintenance, tax rule configuration, invoice template configuration and generation, and tax-related API workflows. Translate tax calculation logic and invoice rules into scalable, configurable, auditable systems with access control, approvals, versioning, validation, and exception handling. Partner across tax, finance, legal, payments, engineering, and operations to deliver and operate the platform.

Key Responsibilities

•Design backend tools and self-serve workflows for tax specialists, including tax rate maintenance, tax rule configuration, tax API management, invoice template configuration, and invoice generation.
•Maintain unified tax rate data tables with dimensions like country/region, business type, legal entity, tax category, tax rate, and effective date, including validation rules and historical versioning.
•Own tax-related API product design and invocation management for tax calculation, tax filing, tax identity information, invoice generation, and tax certificates, including failure handling, retries, and alerting.
•Design invoice template configuration and generation interfaces for tax specialists, including preview/testing, version management, release workflows, and exception troubleshooting.
•Translate tax calculation logic and invoice generation rules into product capabilities, and drive cross-functional delivery with tax, finance, legal/compliance, payments, engineering, and operations teams.

Key Requirements

•Experience in product management with relevant backend systems, operations platforms, configuration platforms, rule platforms, or enterprise tools.
•Foundational tax knowledge and the ability to work with tax stakeholders on detailed requirement discussions.
•Ability to understand and translate tax calculation logic, tax rate matching, rule effective dates, and tax impacts on settlement and invoicing into product solutions.
•Ability to understand invoice generation rules and design product capabilities such as templates, fields, validations, generation workflows, preview, release, and exception handling.
•Experience designing products for professional users, including usability, accuracy, access control, governance, and audit requirements.
