Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver Surface Warfare Officer Advanced (Common and Specialisation) and Warfare Mastery Courses in line with approved documentation
  • •Provide simulator-based, classroom and remedial instruction to Navy trainees
  • •Maintain technical mastery in RAN warfare policy, tactics and procedures
  • •Support trainee performance reviews, debriefs and development feedback
  • •Assist with courseware preparation and training system improvements

Key Requirements

  • •An advanced warfare qualification (PWO or WTI) awarded by one of the following Navies: Royal Australian Navy, Royal Navy (UK), United States Navy (IAMD, ASW or Strike specialist), Royal Canadian Navy, Royal New Zealand Navy
  • •A minimum of 24 months consolidation experience in an eligible warfare role
  • •A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or willingness to obtain within 12 months)
  • •Be able to achieve and maintain a defence security clearance of NV1 or higher
  • •Experience delivering training in a Defence or Navy environment
