Job Summary

Operate a forklift and/or skid steer to safely lift and move materials, machines, and products in a scrap metal recycling plant. Ensure strict compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards, including PPE use and participation in certification/training. Support yard and plant operations through cleaning, cleanup, basic sorting of scrap, completing equipment paperwork, and assisting with maintenance and special projects as needed.

Key Responsibilities

•Operate a forklift and/or skid steer to lift and move bins, equipment, and materials safely.
•Strictly adhere to Health, Safety, and Environmental standards, including wearing all PPE and following safety protocols.
•Assist with cleaning, yard/facility cleanup, and maintenance to support plant operations.
•Complete paperwork associated with the forklift and/or skid steer and report equipment deficiencies or malfunctions.
•Perform basic sorting of scrap and complete special projects or other duties as assigned.

Key Requirements

•Must hold valid Forklift and/or Skid Steer Certification, if required in the state or province you are applying to work.

•Able to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
•Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and able to handle multiple competing tasks.
