Key Responsibilities

  • •Collect, compile, and analyze site, soil/rock, survey, GIS, and subsurface data to support project development, design, and construction.
  • •Perform geotechnical engineering studies across proposed/existing site conditions, including subsurface investigations, foundation engineering, settlement/erosion, hazards, groundwater, and slope stability.
  • •Maintain QA/QC and quality control standards for accurate measurements, analyses, and reporting documentation.
  • •Develop data visualizations and prepare accurate reports, sketches, calculations, and illustrations to communicate findings and recommendations.
  • •Serve as project engineer/task lead, directing field crews and coordinating budgets, schedules, scopes, and proposals while interacting professionally with clients and regulatory agencies.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering (or closely related discipline).
  • •Minimum 5 years of post-education experience with relevant geotechnical design and recommendations.
  • •Professional Engineer license in Arizona, or ability to obtain it in 6 months.
  • •Technical knowledge of geotechnical engineering including foundation design, slope stability, earthquake engineering, retaining wall/earth retention, rock mechanics, settlement, and ground improvement.
  • •Experience with infrastructure planning, design, construction management, and coordinating with agency regulators, plus strong technical writing and communication skills.
