Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver laboratory testing on soils, aggregates, and concrete (e.g., Proctor, gradation, hydrometer, Atterberg limits), ensuring compliance with ASTM, AASHTO, CSA, and CCIL standards
  • •Support construction QA/QC through field testing, inspections, and supervision, including compaction testing and subgrade and concrete verification
  • •Collaborate with contractors, clients, and WSP teams on active project sites to help ensure successful project execution
  • •Collect, analyze, and interpret geotechnical data, contributing to accurate reporting and engineering decision-making
  • •Monitor geotechnical instrumentation and support field programs that inform the performance of infrastructure systems

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 54,100 - 72,200 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology (or equivalent)
  • •Hands-on experience or strong exposure to materials testing (soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt) in lab and/or field environments
  • •Ability and willingness to work in dynamic conditions, including remote field sites, extended hours, and physically demanding environments
  • •Valid Canadian driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract and ability to travel to job sites as required
  • •Working knowledge of ASTM, AASHTO, CSA standards; CCIL certifications or safety training (First Aid, WHMIS, H2S Alive, Ground Disturbance) are strong assets
