Job Summary

Lead Canada AML/CTF and regulatory compliance for Flywire’s payments platform. Build, maintain and monitor regulatory programs, liaise with regulators and partners, and ensure compliant rollout of products in Canada across multiple jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead Canada AML/CTF programs and regulatory compliance, liaising with regulators, auditors, bank/payment partners, and clients
•Monitor Canadian regulatory developments related to payments, consumer protection, money services and fintech laws
•Build and maintain Canadian AML/CTF programs, policies and procedures; manage regulatory reporting (EFTR, STR) and response processes
•Coordinate presentations, responses and reporting to management, regulators, clients and governing bodies; develop internal communications and training materials
•Support risk governance projects, regulatory reviews and due diligence on potential acquisitions, and advise on AML regulations for Flywire in Canada

Key Requirements

•5-10 years of work experience with a university degree, or at least 8 years of relevant work experience
•8+ years of relevant experience in Anti-Money Laundering Corporate/Risk Governance, Risk Management, Compliance, Audit, Regulatory Management, Legal or related areas
•Capable of comfortably leading meetings, delivering presentations and interacting with all hierarchy levels
•Experience with regulations and guidelines related to payments networks, financial institutions, digital payments industry, including emerging payment system regulation/supervision
•Data driven and experience with analytics; experience preparing/reviewing/delivering executive level communications
