Key Responsibilities

  • •Advise and support strategic deals and customer engagements without supervision, collaborating with Solution Engineers and Observability Architects.
  • •Act as an SME across a Grafana Platform area, building new reference architectures and overcoming competitive objections in the field.
  • •Own end-to-end creation and curation of technical training content (workshops, how-to guides, demo scripts) and establish review cadence with Enablement and Product Management.
  • •Architect, engineer, and maintain live production environments that support demo, workshop, and POV infrastructure at scale, ensuring reliability, security, and uptime.
  • •Mentor Senior and Staff Solution Engineers and Field Engineers, and represent Field Engineering in product planning to surface enablement gaps.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum of 8+ years of related technical experience, including 2+ years in a Senior Field Engineer role (or equivalent) in SRE/Developer/Architect or presales solution architecture.
  • •Expert understanding of Grafana and related technologies, with SME depth in at least one Grafana platform area and broad knowledge across the observability ecosystem.
  • •Expert knowledge in an adjacent domain (e.g., IoT, AI/ML) and demonstrated domain knowledge across the broader Grafana ecosystem.
  • •Ability to architect and deliver strategic technical content (workshops, demos, decks, webinars, videos) and training assets adopted by the technical field organization.
  • •Comfort building cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, or GCP) with IaC such as Terraform and using technologies like Kubernetes, Docker, and Microservices; working familiarity with Linux.
