Job Summary

Deliver heavy equipment safely and on time from the Smyrna, TN rental facility, while using EquipmentShare’s technology to access fleet locations, work orders, and delivery details in real time. Operate vehicles in line with state and federal transportation laws, assist with loading/unloading using appropriate equipment, complete and maintain required shipping documentation, and perform routine truck service checks as needed.

Key Responsibilities

•Operate the vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
•Transport loads safely and in a timely manner over required routes, obeying traffic laws and safety regulations.
•Maneuver truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas and follow loading crew signals.
•Assist with loading/unloading goods and materials using specialized equipment when warranted; unload empty skids and return equipment to designated areas.
•Maintain signed invoices and shipping paperwork (including bills of lading) and deliver documentation after the route is complete; facilitate routine truck service checks and report malfunctions.

Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

•Must hold either a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) or chauffeur’s license depending on state, appropriate for the weight of vehicle operated.
•Must pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state DOT regulations.
•Must pass DOT physical, since trucks driven are over 10k lbs.
•Must be at least 21 years old to operate a company vehicle.
•Must be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds at a time.
