Job Summary

Provide high-quality, evidence-based patient care as a General Practitioner under the supervision of Consultant and/or Specialist Physicians. Examine, diagnose, and treat assigned patients; participate in daily ward rounds; oversee and document test results; and update treatment with consultant approval. Handle referrals, informed consent for procedures, and rotational on-call coverage. Support quality improvement, clinical audits, continuing medical education, teaching for interns/medical students, and participation in clinical research activities.

Key Responsibilities

•Under supervision, examine, diagnose, and treat assigned patients in line with best-practice standards and senior physician consent.
•Participate in daily ward rounds and reassess inpatients and outpatients as clinically appropriate and directed.
•Oversee the organization of tests, chase and record results, and document clinical information accurately and timely per protocols.
•Review investigation results and modify treatment in a timely manner with approval from the Consultant or Specialist physician.
•Provide out-of-hours on-call coverage on a rotational basis, support informed consent and referrals, and comply with patient confidentiality and hospital protocols; support quality improvement and audits, plus education/teaching and clinical research participation.

Key Requirements

•Completion of internship (UAE nationals and non-UAE graduates of UAE medical schools) with no additional experience required afterward.
•For non-UAE nationals: at least 2 years of relevant experience post-internship (hospital, primary health center, ER, etc.).
•Works under the supervision of a Consultant Physician and/or Specialist Physician to provide clinical care according to best-practice standards.
•Ability to examine, diagnose, and treat patients as assigned with appropriate consent from senior physicians.
•Ability to support quality and safety activities, including clinical audit participation and ongoing professional development.
