Key Responsibilities

  • •Regularly inspect facility operations to ensure safe job practices, proper PPE use, and operational machine/process guards.
  • •Investigate and facilitate investigations of accidents and near-miss occurrences, identifying trends and causes and ensuring corrective measures are implemented.
  • •Work with management to develop safety programs and incentives; conduct new hire training and provide employee training on safe machinery/equipment operation.
  • •Chair the Safety Committee and manage inventory of safety-related products including PPE and medical first-aid supplies.
  • •Maintain OSHA 300 logs and required reports; oversee first aid/CPR training staffing levels, forklift training certification, fire inspection coordination, hearing conservation monitoring, and coordination of duties for employees on medical restrictions.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum high school graduate.
  • •Minimum two to four years of experience in safety or woodworking operations.
  • •Working knowledge of computer and business software, including Microsoft applications Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • •Certification in First Aid and CPR, with working knowledge of OSHA and DOT regulations.
  • •Successful completion of OSHA 10 certification.
