Job Summary

Provide geotechnical engineering support for remediation, permitting, improvement, and construction of infrastructure projects across roads, buildings, tunnels, dams, bridges, and water systems. Assist with data collection from sites (soil/rock samples, GIS data, subsurface information), prepare analyses and reports, and ensure safety, design quality, and functionality standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end geotechnical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

•With minimal supervision, collect, compile, and analyze data from the site, soil and rock samples, GIS data, subsurface information, maps, geotechnical data, and other matrices for project development, design, and construction.
•Maintain quality control standards and procedures for accurate and precise measurements and statistical analysis of rock and soil environmental data.
•Conduct subsurface investigations, soil foundation engineering, settlement analysis, soil erosion, lateral earth pressures, geological hazards, underground water, and slope stability for commercial, industrial, building, infrastructure, and transportation projects.
•Assist with the development of technologies, monitoring devices, modeling techniques, design requirements, and operating strategies to ensure safety and functionality of end-users and transportation systems.
•Verify site characteristics and provide technical assistance on environmental, design, and construction issues involving rock and soil mechanics, and investigate subsurface and geological conditions to design and build foundations, earth structures, and pavement sub-grades.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's Degree in Geotechnical Engineering.
•1 to 3 years of relevant post education experience.
•Knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles, practices, process, design/build, and project work-related issues.
•Familiarity with infrastructure planning, design, and construction observation.
•Familiarity with remediation, permitting, improvement, and construction laws, codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements.
