Key Responsibilities

  • •Set the strategy and technical direction for the AI gateway and broader Group AI Platform, defining architecture, standards, and guardrails that scale bank-wide.
  • •Lead AI gateway optimization to improve performance, scalability, resilience, and cost efficiency for Generative and Agentic AI use cases.
  • •Own end-to-end delivery from design through rollout and continuous improvement, ensuring low-latency performance and reliability.
  • •Establish and evolve engineering best practices across CI/CD, automated testing, and observability/monitoring for AI platform services.
  • •Build and lead a global team, providing hands-on architecture/design reviews, incident learnings, mentoring, and raising engineering standards.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • •15+ years delivering enterprise software/platform solutions, including 5+ years in senior engineering leadership roles.
  • •Proven experience designing, building, and operating large-scale, low-latency, highly available, resilient platforms and shared services (AI/API gateway experience preferred).
  • •Strong architecture expertise across distributed systems, microservices, and cloud/container platforms with performance engineering (capacity planning, tuning, benchmarking).
  • •Hands-on capability with modern languages and tooling (e.g., Python and/or Java), plus strong CI/CD, automated testing, and observability practices.
