Histopathology Technologist

Perform histopathology laboratory work including preparing tissue samples for microscopic analysis, gross descriptions when appropriate, and sectioning tissues for staining. Prepare tissue samples using correct preservation and processing methods, run microtomy to produce quality slides, and stain using routine and special stains, immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, and enzyme histochemistry. Maintain laboratory equipment, record QC results, ensure timely workload, follow infection control and patient-safety policies, and communicate stain results to supervisors or pathologists.
