  • •Partner with Data Science, Data Platform, Product, and Engineering to collect requirements and define Roblox’s data ontology.
  • •Lead and mentor a growing team of Data Engineers to support evolving data needs.
  • •Design, build, and maintain efficient and reliable batch and streaming data pipelines to model core business entities.
  • •Develop scalable frameworks and tooling to automate analytics workflows and streamline interactions with data products.
  • •Establish and evangelize best practices for data operations and lifecycle management.

Salary: USD 21,691 - 24,604 monthly

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years building scalable ETL pipelines using industry ETL orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Dagster, Luigi, Google Cloud Composer) with deep SQL plus PySpark or Scala expertise.
  • •3+ years leading data engineering development with business or data science stakeholders.
  • •Experience building and scaling multi-terabyte data sets with strong debugging and performance mitigation for large-scale analytics.
  • •Experience with at least one major cloud suite (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • •Experience with ETL orchestration tools/frameworks and GitOps workflows (branch/merge, PRs, CI/CD).
