Key Responsibilities

  • •Deputize for the Chief Piping Engineer when requested and assist with project proposals.
  • •Design and approve all piping work on assigned projects, including project standards and job notes.
  • •Prepare piping deliverables such as pipe material specifications, pipe support standards, stress analysis procedure, and piping design philosophy.
  • •Ensure work is executed within budgeted manhours and approved schedules, in compliance with procedures, standards, specifications, and the Occupational Health and Safety Act of South Africa.
  • •Review and approve piping drawings and isometrics, coordinate with suppliers/procurement, and follow up piping construction/commissioning on project sites; mentor piping engineers/s.

Key Requirements

  • •BSc, BEng, or BTech qualification
  • •Professional Registered Engineer or equivalent registration
  • •8 years minimum experience
  • •Experience with CAESAR II
  • •Knowledge of Smartplant reference data
