Key Responsibilities

•Advise on employment law matters, including employee relations, performance management, accommodations, investigations, wage and hour, and terminations.
•Counsel People and leadership teams on workforce strategy, organizational risk, and compliance.
•Provide practical guidance on federal, state, and local employment laws.
•Lead legal strategy related to independent contractor classification and marketplace workforce models.
•Advise on marketplace products, onboarding flows, incentives, and contractor programs.

Key Requirements

•J.D. and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
•10+ years of experience in employment law, labor issues, and/or marketplace counseling.
•Deep expertise in independent contractor classification and marketplace workforce models.
•Experience counseling product and business teams in startup or high-growth technology companies.
•Strong communication and cross-functional partnership skills.
