Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the input device technology roadmap for touch panel, touch IC, and pen, tracking the input device ecosystem and evaluating new technologies and supplier capabilities.
  • •Evaluate input device components to define viable design solutions and create design specifications balancing market, industrial design, human factors, and platform requirements.
  • •Use proof-of-concept (POC) data to develop and recommend input device solutions and technology packages.
  • •Partner with internal teams (PM planners, ID, human factor, platform architects, procurement, mechanical/BIOS and other engineering groups) on specifications, technical alignment, cost evaluation, and issue resolution.
  • •Coordinate with external suppliers and outsourced development partners on design architecture, technical proposals, and project progress; extend scope across notebook, AIO, POS, and other form factors.

Key Requirements

  • •Four-year or Graduate Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • •Typically 10+ years of work experience in engineering design, solutions, or implementation across the hardware development lifecycle or related work.
  • •Component-level expertise in display and touch IC commodities, with strong technical insight and commodity market insight.
  • •Experience applying input device/touch and pen technologies across PC, tablet, or mobile phone products.
  • •Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills across marketing, architecture, and procurement teams.
