Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain mill machinery including pumps, conveyors, compressors, mechanical systems, rollers and chains, bearings, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
  • •Perform preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance by inspecting equipment to detect irregularities and malfunctions.
  • •Troubleshoot issues, improve equipment reliability, and implement safe, reliable fixes that maximize production uptime.
  • •Identify and request relevant parts to complete repairs in a timely manner.
  • •Assist in maintaining a safe work environment.

Key Requirements

  • •Superior troubleshooting skills.
  • •Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • •Experience in a manufacturing and/or industrial environment (lumber manufacturing knowledge is an asset).
  • •Basic electrical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair machinery components.
  • •Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems on heavy manufacturing machinery, plus experience using a CMMS.
