Job Summary

Apply coatings processes to prepare, mask, grit blast, and dress aerospace parts while following Pratt & Whitney EHS and Quality procedures. Operate precision metrology equipment to document process results, perform assembly and unclassified laser/bake/paint operations, and package work used in coatings. Work 3rd shift (midnight–7:00am), using hand tools, computers/programs, and robotics equipment under supervision while progressing toward a required Secret clearance.

Key Responsibilities

•Prep and perform minor assembly on parts for coatings operations, including masking and grit blasting.
•Operate equipment and tools (including robots and computers/programs) to perform unclassified laser, bake, and paint processes.
•Monitor and document coatings processes using high precision metrology equipment to measure and record results.
•Unload, prep, and package products used in the coatings process; participate in setup and routine maintenance of machines and tooling.
•Follow EHS and Quality procedures, inspect work against specifications, and support operations while working under supervision/lead man to obtain required security clearance and program access.

Key Requirements

•1+ year of experience with coating application processes and techniques, or 1+ year in aerospace or automotive mechanic/technician work, or 1+ year as a machine operator or machinist.
•High school diploma/GED.
•Ability to attain and maintain a Secret clearance.
•Preferred: 4+ years of experience with coatings, laser drilling, masking, and grit blasting.
•Preferred: experience reading/interpreting 2D drawings with micrometers/calipers and robotic experience (Fanuc), plus using measuring instruments to check dimensions.
