Job Summary

Lead Mechanical Engineer overseeing design and construction of building and infrastructure projects, guiding technical reviews with PMs and Senior Engineers, and delivering high-level mechanical systems design, calculations, and coordination across disciplines in the Northeast Region.

Key Responsibilities

•Apply high-level mechanical engineering techniques to identify improvements across project phases from concept to operation.
•Conduct research and inspections of site conditions, equipment and infrastructure to ensure conformance with rules, standards, and permits.
•Design mechanical systems including heating and cooling load calculations and QA/QC adherence.
•Select and lay out mechanical equipment such as pumps, chillers, fans and boilers.
•Develop construction and installation plans, specifications, and cost estimates with coordination across owners, disciplines, sub-consultants, and clients.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited program; 7 to 10 years of relevant post-education experience in engineering and prior mechanical design experience for a consulting engineering firm
•Engineer license required
•Comprehensive knowledge and interpretation of code compliance requirements and industry standards
•Strong organizational, prioritization, decision making and analytical skills
•Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
