Job Summary

Join an enterprise data platform team as a Data Platform Solution Architect, taking ownership of the target-state architecture for a partially implemented platform and guiding the next stage of transformation. You’ll rapidly assess the current end-to-end platform, define an architectural roadmap, and translate business and data requirements into technical standards, integration patterns, governance, and migration strategies. Work hands-on with senior engineers to deliver, manage risks, and align tooling and services with cloud architecture standards.

Key Responsibilities

•Rapidly assess and understand the current platform state across layers and components alongside the engineering team.
•Define and own the target-state architecture, bridging the gap between current implementation and what must be completed or evolved.
•Design the architectural roadmap for the next stage of platform transformation to maintain continuity with current investments while enabling scalability.
•Translate business and data requirements into architectural decisions, reference designs, and technical standards.
•Provide hands-on architectural guidance to engineering teams on a day-to-day basis, actively engaged in delivery.

Key Requirements

•12+ years in Data Engineering and/or Data Architecture, including 4–5 years in a solution or platform architect role.
•Design enterprise-scale data platform architectures end-to-end from source ingestion through consumption.
•Strong hands-on knowledge of Azure data platform services (Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, Azure Analysis Services) and/or Databricks Lakehouse (Delta Lake, Delta Live Tables, Unity Catalog).
•Experience designing data governance architectures including lineage, data quality frameworks, audit/control patterns, SCD versioning, and CDC.
•Ability to define target-state architectures, architectural roadmaps, and phased/parallel migration strategies while providing day-to-day architectural guidance to engineering teams.
