Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage provision of legal advice and support for the assigned business unit, department, project company, or O&M company, including contract interpretation, disputes, and contractual changes.
  • •Identify and mitigate legal risks while ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • •Review and supervise development, updating, and maintenance of templates for legal agreements for complex projects.
  • •Manage review of agreements and contracts; provide inputs/amendments and support negotiations with key stakeholders such as EPC contractors, offtakers, subcontractors, and government.
  • •Prepare RFPs for external legal partners, shortlist and recommend counsel selection, monitor partner performance, and coordinate interaction with external counsel and internal stakeholders.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor of Laws degree.
  • •3–5 years’ experience in projects law or legal function.
  • •Strong knowledge of EPC, procurement contracts, and shareholders/joint venture agreements in the energy industry.
  • •Working knowledge of project finance, regulatory and policy matters.
  • •Ability to identify legal risks, draft and negotiate agreements, and present/defend the company’s position to stakeholders with minimum supervision.
