Key Responsibilities

  • •Evaluate and structure complex credit requests for sponsor-backed lower middle market and middle market technology companies in partnership with the originations team.
  • •Perform independent credit analysis and create complete underwriting files, including financial statement analysis and underwriting memorandums.
  • •Model multi-year income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow, including downside and break-even projection analysis with limited input.
  • •Prepare final approval documents such as change memos and approval emails in addition to new credit memorandums.
  • •Play a key role in loan closings by collaborating with loan operations, insurance operations, treasury management, and other internal stakeholders; use nCino regularly.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 4-6 years of underwriting experience in leveraged finance, investment banking, or commercial finance.
  • •Experience in sponsor finance or leveraged loan transactions, including analyzing corporate borrowers.
  • •Bachelor’s degree and/or relevant work experience/training; high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • •Proficiency with PC tools, with emphasis on Word, Excel, and Moody’s.
  • •Proficient with nCino and strong financial analytical skills evaluating complex financial statements.
