Job Summary

Complete sponsor finance underwriting for new technology-focused deals by evaluating and structuring complex credit requests for lower middle market and middle market VC/growth equity/PE-backed companies. Perform independent credit analysis, prepare underwriting files and final credit approval memorandums, model income, balance sheet, and cash flow with downside/break-even analysis, and support loan closings while coordinating with internal teams and nCino.

Key Responsibilities

•Evaluate and structure complex credit requests for sponsor-backed lower middle market and middle market technology companies in partnership with the originations team.
•Perform independent credit analysis and create complete underwriting files, including financial statement analysis and underwriting memorandums.
•Model multi-year income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow, including downside and break-even projection analysis with limited input.
•Prepare final approval documents such as change memos and approval emails in addition to new credit memorandums.
•Play a key role in loan closings by collaborating with loan operations, insurance operations, treasury management, and other internal stakeholders; use nCino regularly.

•Minimum 4-6 years of underwriting experience in leveraged finance, investment banking, or commercial finance.

•Bachelor’s degree and/or relevant work experience/training; high school diploma or equivalent required.
•Proficiency with PC tools, with emphasis on Word, Excel, and Moody’s.
•Proficient with nCino and strong financial analytical skills evaluating complex financial statements.
