Job Summary

Install and troubleshoot residential solar and battery electrical systems, ensuring compliant workmanship with NEC and local codes. Plan and complete solar battery installations and main panel upgrades (MPUs), handle PV system electrical troubleshooting, and work with inspectors and homeowners to support upgrades and repairs. Collaborate with the PV installation crew and may lead the crew in the Foreman’s absence. Demonstrate OSHA safety knowledge and enforce safe work practices.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead installation of electrical systems that interconnect solar arrays to residential grid power
•Ensure all work is compliant with current NEC and local codes
•Safely plan and complete solar battery installations and MPUs as assigned
•Troubleshoot system problems and resolve electrical issues
•Work with branch team, homeowners, and local inspectors to fulfill required upgrades/repairs and safety practices

Travel: Low travel

Pay and Benefits

Salary: 29.05 - 38.73

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or equivalent
•Must possess 75% of the hours required to sit for state-specific electrical certification exams
•Electrical installation and repair experience, including wiring up to 600 VDC and 480 VAC
•Working knowledge of current NEC codes and ability to interpret single line drawings and PV systems from roof to meter
•Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
