Key Responsibilities

  • •Forecast and communicate engineering, materials, and manufacturing requirements to suppliers; perform make-versus-buy analysis to support outsourcing decisions.
  • •Coordinate demand signals through MRP to minimize inventory exposure and form materials core team deliverables via matrix management.
  • •Create, release, and update new project materials strategy under some supervision; collaborate with engineering to interpret requirements.
  • •Manage sourcing activities including supplier negotiations (price/delivery) under supervision, preferred supplier selection and assessment, supplier risk assessment, performance monitoring, and contract execution as needed.
  • •Execute commercialization (transition) materials plan, manage materials change control, resolve quality issues, track key process indicators and landed cost targets, and escalate issues when necessary.
