Key Responsibilities

  • •Partner with design teams to provide design-for-manufacturability feedback and generate product data (drawings, BOM, part requirements) for supplier quality success.
  • •Drive supplier quality development across product development stages via design reviews, supplier process development, testing, and qualification for components and sub-assemblies.
  • •Manage technical risks and scale designs from prototype through volume production, including proofs of concept and prototyping.
  • •Analyze drawings and supplier specifications to drive supplier quality readiness; develop measurement systems and execute qualification activities (PPAP/FAIR/audits/inspection development).
  • •Own supplier corrective actions and governance (RCCA, MRB, containments, SCAR), and audit supplier quality management systems for compliance to flow-down requirements.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Metallurgy, or a similar technical field.
  • •Experience producing castings and mechanical assemblies for maritime, aerospace, or space applications (sand, investment, or die castings).
  • •Experience scaling supplier capabilities from prototype/proof of concept through low-rate to high-rate production, including source inspection and flowing down source control requirements.
  • •Working knowledge of AS9100/ISO 9001 quality management system requirements; AS9100 Lead/Internal Auditor certification is a plus.
  • •Experience with First Article Inspection (AS9102), quality planning (FMEA/APQP/PPAP elements), and inspection/measurement capability (MSA, GD&T).
