Key Responsibilities

  • •Oversee and monitor WellCare’s and delegated subcontractors’ corporate ethics and compliance programs and ongoing regulatory compliance issues.
  • •Conduct focused reviews and audit/monitor activities to assess compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • •Evaluate the effectiveness of market/shared services/delegated subcontractor compliance programs, policies, and procedures and provide recommendations.
  • •Prepare accurate written oversight and monitoring reports and ensure workpapers meet WellCare and departmental standards with sufficient evidentiary material.
  • •Review corrective action plan status and provide follow-up to stakeholders, senior management, and relevant oversight committees as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •A Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an Associate’s with 4 years of applicable experience, or HSD/GED with 5 years of applicable experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
  • •3+ years of experience in Managed Care/Health Insurance.
  • •Preferred 1+ year of experience in a project oversight role with demonstrated ability to drive implementation and influence others.
  • •Preferred 1+ year of experience reading, analyzing, and interpreting State and Federal laws, rules, and regulations.
  • •Preferred 1+ year of experience in State Medicaid or Federal managed care compliance.
