Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure patient care in the unit is safe, appropriate, and effective by assessing needs and determining nursing interventions.
  • •Prioritize identified needs, develop or revise the plan of care, implement nursing actions, and evaluate patient outcomes.
  • •Coordinate overall clinical activities of the unit when assigned to the charge nurse role and collaborate with the Nursing Supervisor on staffing for a shift.
  • •Maintain accurate and real-time clinical records; facilitate patient education and represent nursing at multidisciplinary rounds.
  • •Perform advanced/specialized nursing skills and essential life support per regulatory requirements (e.g., BLS, PALS, ACLS, neonatal resuscitation) and support evidence-based practice.

Key Requirements

  • •Evidence of experience managing teams.
  • •Appropriate license to work as a registered nurse with the relevant regulatory health authority and ability to manage professional re-licensure.
  • •Valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider card.
  • •Ability to influence and implement change, make decisions, and communicate effectively.
  • •Be willing to work across departments when necessary; communicate clearly and effectively in English (spoken and written).
