Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform daily tasks associated with Bi-product/Wastewater Operator operations.
  • •Monitor water/wastewater control systems and recording devices; conduct lab testing of wastewater effluent.
  • •Conduct preventive maintenance and report mechanical or process breakages/deficiencies to Maintenance for repair.
  • •Manage bi-product trailer deliveries and pickups, including bill of lading and applying security seals as required.
  • •Maintain wastewater area/equipment cleanliness and complete/organize daily records and paperwork.

Key Requirements

  • •1-2 years' experience in the operations and maintenance of wastewater treatment plants and related equipment/distribution systems.
  • •Must possess or obtain within 12 months of employment a Wastewater Operator Certification.
  • •Ability to read, write, and comprehend English to communicate effectively.
  • •Knowledge of maintenance and wastewater terminology to communicate with the department and technical contacts.
  • •Ability to lift, push, or carry up to 50 lbs; valid driver’s license and tractor/trailer or yard truck experience preferred.
