Key Responsibilities

  • •Reinforce didactic content by teaching nursing knowledge and skills for pre-licensure students.
  • •Collaborate with content area faculty to evaluate and document student progress toward clinical objectives.
  • •Grade written and clinical performance check-offs.
  • •Maintain compliance with program accreditation requirements and uphold the university’s nursing principles and mission.
  • •Travel within the Albuquerque, New Mexico area to observe student performance during clinical rotations and labs.

Key Requirements

  • •BSN required; BSNs must enroll in a GCU MSN Leadership or MSN Education program immediately upon hire (paid for by GCU).
  • •3+ years’ recent PEDS nursing work experience with a BSN.
  • •Active, current, unencumbered, multi-state (compact) RN license.
  • •Successfully pass a drug test and competency testing.
  • •Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with students.
