Key Responsibilities

  • •Transfer chicks from boxes to the grading wheel and grade newly hatched chicks for defects.
  • •Operate, set up, and clean a robot and other hatchery processing equipment.
  • •De-toe chicks according to customer orders and administer coccivac as required.
  • •Perform Day One Processing (70%) and assist with chick room preparation and cleaning/sanitizing (30%).
  • •Maintain biosecurity by sanitizing areas/equipment and following facility animal welfare guidelines.
