Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vacuum truck in compliance with applicable state and federal transportation laws.
  • •Service onsite sanitation trailers and maneuver truck and trailer into loading/unloading areas following loading crew signals.
  • •Assist with loading and unloading goods and materials using specialized equipment when warranted; unload empty skids and return equipment to designated areas.
  • •Maintain signed invoices, shipping bills of lading, and other required paperwork; deliver documentation to the shipping office when routes are complete.
  • •Facilitate routine truck service checks (e.g., oil, water, gasoline, air) and report maintenance malfunctions to the Shipping Supervisor; arrange trailers in yard for optimal loading.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold a valid Commercial Drivers License (Class A CDL) or the required chauffeur’s license for the vehicle weight and state requirements.
  • •Pass background and drug testing, including a DOT physical for trucks over 10k lbs and a safety-sensitive 10-panel drug screen.
  • •Be at least 21 years old to operate the company vehicle.
  • •Demonstrate strong interpersonal and customer service skills, speaking professionally with customers and staff at delivery points.
  • •Be physically able to lift and move up to 40 pounds and spend prolonged periods sitting in a trailer cab.
