Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable backend services using Ruby/Elixir.
  • •Develop polyglot services in Ruby, Elixir, GraphQL federation, or TypeScript based on solution fit.
  • •Use Kafka for event messaging and gRPC/JSON for synchronous communication.
  • •Operate services on Kubernetes and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and bugs.
  • •Contribute to migration from a Ruby monolith to microservices and help shape architecture and best practices.

Key Requirements

  • •Deep experience building and interacting with AI agents and integrating them into workflows while adhering to architecture and security standards.
  • •Strong understanding of Elixir, Ruby, GraphQL, or TypeScript.
  • •Ability to build, deploy, and maintain globally distributed systems.
  • •Knowledge of event-driven systems and familiarity with Kafka and gRPC.
  • •~3+ years building on internal product engineering teams (developer tools/productivity or infrastructure) at scale.
