Job Summary

Lead the building mechanical design and delivery of water and wastewater treatment facilities, from concept through construction. Provide hands-on, senior technical leadership in HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and odor-control systems, including engineering calculations and design document review. Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and quality while coordinating multidisciplinary teams. Mentor engineers and designers and support client engagement, proposal development, and continuous improvement of standards and tools.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead the building mechanical design and delivery of water and wastewater treatment facilities, including process buildings, pumping stations, and support infrastructure.
•Provide leadership to a team of engineers and designers, ensuring technical excellence, accountability, and professional growth.
•Collaborate across disciplines and offices to deliver integrated, high-quality solutions.
•Serve as a trusted advisor to clients and support long-term relationships and strategic growth initiatives.
•Develop mechanical design standards, tools, and best practices to improve efficiency, quality, and consistency across projects.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
•Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in a Canadian jurisdiction.
•10–15+ years of experience in infrastructure and/or facilities engineering.
•Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams and delivering complex projects.
•Experience with mechanical design for water and wastewater facilities is strongly preferred.
