Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and model solar PV, wind, and BESS systems for utility-scale, commercial, and microgrid applications using PVsyst, PVcase, and AutoCAD.
  • •Perform layout optimization, shading analysis, energy yield simulations, and loss assessments.
  • •Use NREL SAM for financial modeling, performance forecasting, and system cost-benefit analysis.
  • •Develop and maintain bill of materials, schematics, and as-built drawings; conduct site assessments and analyze meteorological datasets.
  • •Support permitting/interconnection applications and technical documentation; stay current on relevant codes and standards (e.g., NEC, UL, IEEE, IEC).

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • •2+ years of experience in solar PV + BESS system design, preferably across utility, commercial, and microgrid scales.
  • •Proficiency in AutoCAD, PVcase, PVsyst, and NREL SAM.
  • •Strong understanding of PV system components, design standards, and layout strategies.
  • •Ability to read and produce engineering drawings (e.g., one-line diagrams and site plans) and communicate effectively.
