Key Responsibilities

  • •Direct day-to-day breeder operations to ensure required quantity and quality of hatch eggs for hatcheries.
  • •Implement and monitor pullet and breeder production programs and ensure training and development of flock supervisors.
  • •Provide communication and direction for contract pullet and breeder producers and Hatchery Manager for optimum chick hatch.
  • •Monitor development of contract producers and pullet placements, moves, vaccinations, and sales to ensure proper hatch egg numbers.
  • •Monitor pullet and breeder flock health, adherence to blood testing procedures, and promote driver safety; provide performance and cost numbers to accounting and upper management.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of management experience in a directly related field.
  • •5+ years of directly related experience in poultry grow-out operations.
  • •Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • •SAP experience preferred.
  • •Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external partners and work varying shifts, holidays, and weekends as needed.
