Key Responsibilities

  • •Fabricate, build, and test prototype samples for lab-based evaluation and customer pilot programs at the direction of project engineers.
  • •Interpret mechanical drawings and assembly documentation and build prototypes and test fixtures using approved tools and machinery.
  • •Prepare and execute lab validation tests using approved devices and procedures, ensuring established test procedures are followed.
  • •Collect, record, and plot test data; troubleshoot prototype assembly issues and document and communicate findings to project teams.
  • •Coordinate test lab purchasing, equipment setup, and maintenance including repairs and calibration; lead assigned technical work toward closure.

Key Requirements

  • •Associate’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electro-Mechanical technology from an accredited institution.
  • •3 years of experience working in a product development environment with mechanical or electro-mechanical products.
  • •Ability to understand mechanical drawings and mechanical assembly documentation to build prototypes.
  • •Experience with high current and high voltage sources (at least 1 year).
  • •Experience working with oscilloscopes and electrical power supplies and loads (at least 1 year).
