Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead end-to-end integration architecture from external feed ingestion and domain modeling through streaming, entity resolution, and UI distribution.
  • •Design robust ingestion and entity-resolution systems to map incoming barge data onto reference data using Elasticsearch and PostgreSQL patterns.
  • •Build scalable Kafka streaming pipelines with event-driven contracts, Avro schemas, deduplication mechanisms, and dead-letter queue replay.
  • •Deliver integrated data across customer surfaces including Elasticsearch read models, external APIs, data warehouse feeds, and the Kpler Terminal.
  • •Maintain production quality and observability, define SLOs, participate in on-call, and drive post-incident improvements.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years designing, operating, and maintaining data-intensive production systems with full ownership.
  • •Advanced Python and SQL skills building clean, bounded services in large evolving codebases.
  • •Hands-on production Kafka streaming experience including Avro/schema management, deduplication, and replay patterns.
  • •Integration experience for external data feeds, including schema mapping and building data quality monitoring frameworks.
  • •Operational mindset with production observability, documentation, and resolving incidents in distributed systems.
