Job Summary

Troubleshoot, repair, re-commission, and maintain field instrumentation across gas turbines, steam turbines, waste heat boilers, and desalination plant auxiliaries to improve uptime. Attend to breakdowns and planned maintenance with minimal supervision, assess job requirements, and use the computerized maintenance system to order spares and record work. Ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures, support RCFA on recurring failures, and train new craftsmen.

Key Responsibilities

•Troubleshoot, repair, re-commission, and maintain field instrumentation for gas turbines, steam turbines, waste heat boilers, and desalination plant auxiliaries.
•Attend to power and desalination plant field instrumentation breakdowns and planned maintenance with minimum supervision.
•Assess job requirements, select necessary tools/equipment, and use the computerized maintenance system to order spares and maintain maintenance records.
•Ensure maintenance work follows safety procedures and plant operational requirements; report repeated breakdowns and assist with RCFA.
•Provide on-the-job training to new craftsmen to enable planned maintenance repair work.

Key Requirements

•Hold a higher secondary education or diploma.
•Be familiar with maintenance tools and have good knowledge of plant safety.
•Have experience working in a power or desalination plant with exposure to maintenance and calibration of field instrumentation (pressure, temperature, level, flow).
•Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic valve actuation systems, CO2 fire protection systems, and infrared gas detection systems.
•Be able to read and understand engineering drawings and manuals, and work reliably under time/technical pressure and shift duty.
