Key Responsibilities

  • •Shape and evolve the TM framework, including policies, procedures, rule design methodology, threshold calibration, and QA regime.
  • •Review and challenge scenario engineering outputs (rule specifications, threshold proposals, and back-testing results) prior to Head of TM sign-off.
  • •Own QA and governance output quality, ensuring decisions and documentation meet standards expected by senior management and regulators.
  • •Act as delegated authority and step in as primary TM decision-maker when required (e.g., withdrawal holds, account restrictions, L3 SAR referral pack review, interim threshold changes).
  • •Provide day-to-day leadership for TM specialist teams, chair governance meetings in the Head’s absence, and escalate material TM risks and control failures across entities.

Key Requirements

  • •Extensive financial crime compliance experience with at least 3 years in a senior TM role (team lead, deputy head, head of TM, or equivalent) in a regulated financial services firm.
  • •Experience in the CFD, forex, or leveraged derivatives sector (or investment firms offering similar products).
  • •Proven ability to make autonomous TM decisions including alert escalation, SAR filing recommendations, account restriction approvals, and rule threshold adjustments.
  • •Direct engagement experience with a Tier 1 regulator (e.g., FCA, CySEC, ASIC, MAS, BaFin) on TM/financial crime matters, including responding to supervisory queries and attending regulatory meetings.
  • •Demonstrable experience designing or significantly enhancing TM frameworks, including rule design methodology, threshold calibration, and QA, plus working knowledge of AML/CTF requirements in at least two jurisdictions.
