Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop board-level reliability qualification plans and acceptance criteria for semiconductor packages using test methods such as thermal cycling, shock, vibration, drop, power cycling, humidity, and use-condition testing.
  • •Lead risk assessments using FMEA, fault tree analysis, and reliability growth methodologies, including reliability demonstration and statistical confidence strategies.
  • •Conduct complex failure analysis and root-cause investigations, and drive corrective and preventive actions across design, materials, assembly, and manufacturing processes.
  • •Perform reliability statistics including Weibull analysis and DOE studies to support reliability growth and data-driven decisions.
  • •Represent the company in JEDEC and other standards organizations (e.g., IPC, AEC), author/review/ballot standards and qualification methodologies, and engage in technical discussions with industry partners.

Key Requirements

  • •Master’s degree (or Ph.D.) in a technical field (Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Physics, or related) with relevant industry experience.
  • •Experience in semiconductor package, board-level, or electronic system reliability, including qualification methods such as thermal cycling, shock, vibration, temperature-humidity, and accelerated stress testing.
  • •Knowledge of solder interconnect reliability, PCB technologies, SMT assembly processes, and package-to-board interactions.
  • •Experience with failure analysis investigations and root-cause determination.
  • •Familiarity with reliability statistics and methods such as Weibull analysis, Design of Experiments (DOE), FMEA, and reliability qualification planning.
