Key Responsibilities

  • •Adhere to housekeeping and SHE safety, health, and environment standards; read and sign off work instructions and attend safety meetings.
  • •Maintain dewatering pumps and continuously inspect equipment; report defects promptly to prevent breakdowns and delays.
  • •Prepare work areas with required pumps and pipes; complete jobs within specified time and keep allocated areas clean and hazard-free.
  • •Install, remove, and repair HDPE pipes and assist with maintenance tasks such as connecting pipes and pumps and tightening/loosening bolts.
  • •Assist the Dewatering team and coordinator with monitoring, pump installation/removal, trench/pump digging assistance, and ensuring safety sign installation and dewatering of pumps.

Key Requirements

  • •Grade 12/N3 Technical qualification.
  • •SA Drivers Licence.
  • •Technical knowledge and demonstrated understanding of maintenance procedures, company processes, and policies through 1–2 years of experience.
  • •Understand safety standards applicable to maintenance environments and be able to follow maintenance-related manufacturer standards.
  • •Ability to interpret and understand detailed component drawings, blueprints, and shop manuals; knowledge of vehicle/equipment components and functionality.
