Key Responsibilities

  • •Monitor traffic mitigation measures at various airport terminals and observe congestion locations and mitigation effectiveness.
  • •Coordinate/communicate with Port Authority staff (including PAPD and Landside Operations) and other transportation agencies during day-to-day operations and incidents.
  • •Complete the SaabSafe module and maintain required logs of information.
  • •Ensure incidents follow proper contacts and protocols, and oversee shift continuity through assessments and briefings.
  • •Evaluate roadwork impacts, identify potential conflicts, monitor construction delays and traffic patterns, and keep the Project/Operations Manager informed.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • •3 years of experience in traffic operations/traffic management.
  • •Background in traffic operations with prior traffic operations/transportation-related experience.
  • •Ability to coordinate with operations staff, technicians, engineers, and/or law enforcement on work assignments.
  • •Ability to read a map and be familiar with major highways in the NY/NJ region, including Port Authority facilities.
