Job Summary

Assist the Chief Engineer in implementing the maintenance schedule and spare-parts requirements for the dredging fleet. Operate and maintain the engine room to ensure safe, optimal vessel performance, including night shift operational responsibility. Support repairs onboard, monitor HSE compliance, and report issues and preventive maintenance needs. Help manage work orders in Oracle, ensure correct storage/receipt of items, and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly dredger reports.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist the Chief Engineer in implementing the maintenance schedule and spare-parts requirements according to plans and technical specifications.
•Operate and maintain the engine room to ensure optimal and safe vessel performance, including night shift operational responsibility.
•Support basic and instant repairs onboard, provide input on day-to-day equipment performance, and report failures or maintenance needs.
•Monitor and ensure compliance with HSE requirements in the engine room; identify hazards and coordinate rectification recommendations.
•Record planned/unplanned maintenance in Oracle work orders, close work orders correctly, and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly dredger reports.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in marine/mechanical engineering.
•Minimum 5 years' experience as W/K Engineer onboard dredger.
•Experience maintaining and managing technical aspects of vessels as part of engine room operations.
•Ability to support execution of maintenance schedules, repairs, and preventive maintenance programs.
•Knowledge of HSE requirements in the engine room and onboard reporting expectations.
