Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and test Security firmware IP subsystems for SSD products to meet or exceed technical specification matrix requirements for security, performance, functionality, and quality/reliability.
  • •Develop firmware unit and functional tests to ensure the firmware subsystem meets quality, functional, and performance requirements at each integration milestone.
  • •Provide consistent, detailed, properly summarized technical updates to management, multi-functional team members, and the firmware team regarding activities and firmware project status.
  • •Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and management, and continuously improve team involvement, morale, and productivity through technical capability.
  • •Integrate AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness while following organizational standards and legal requirements.

Key Requirements

  • •PhD in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 2 years embedded firmware development experience, or Masters/Bachelors in Electrical or Computer Engineering with a minimum of 5 years embedded firmware development experience.
  • •Embedded Security domain knowledge and experience (advantage).
  • •Expertise in programming languages and tools/environments, including C, C++, and Rust.
  • •Experience programming in Python (advantage).
  • •Knowledge of storage interfaces and systems (ideally PCIe/NVMe, SATA, or SAS) and non-volatile storage such as NAND flash (advantages), plus the ability to analyze, design, code, debug, and modify software and resolve firmware application code problems.
