Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform technical inspections on heavy equipment, tactical vehicles, and material handling equipment during the turn-in process.
  • •Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system faults and carry out corrective repairs.
  • •Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance per Army technical manuals and safety/environmental requirements.
  • •Record inspections, maintenance, and repairs using Army-approved forms and systems, and maintain work orders and parts requisitions.
  • •Identify unserviceable/non-repairable equipment for disposition, support equipment condition coding, and assist with preparation for storage, transfer, or disposal.

Key Requirements

  • •3–5 years of experience as a mechanic on military or heavy equipment.
  • •Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • •Ability to read and interpret Army TMs, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • •Knowledge of preventive maintenance checks and services (PMCS) and Army maintenance standards.
  • •Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) and Tier1/NACI (Public trust) background eligibility; basic English proficiency required.
