Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead a team of four engineers across billing, fraud, and outbound telephony, strengthening operating rhythm, planning, and delivery.
  • •Partner with the PM for Enterprise & Governance to set priorities and turn the roadmap into reliable execution.
  • •Own service reliability, on-call coverage, and incident response, using delivery and reliability data to prioritize improvements.
  • •Guide architecture and code reviews, deliver an initial prioritized improvement, and set clear growth goals with each engineer.
  • •Own engineering delivery against the shared roadmap for billing, pricing, packaging, fraud, and outbound telephony, including identifying hiring and system investments.

Key Requirements

  • •Demonstrated engineering management experience across coaching, performance, leveling, and career development, including handling difficult people situations.
  • •Experience designing scalable, reliable enterprise systems and leading engineers through complex technical problems (billing systems experience is a plus).
  • •Strong hands-on coding, architecture, and system design skills with the ability to evaluate tradeoffs in code review.
  • •Experience owning reliable services and improving on-call and incident response practices, including experience hiring and building a small team.
  • •Experience partnering with a PM and translating product requirements into technical plans while resolving disagreements constructively.
