Job Summary

Lead operational design and delivery for the HSBC Asset Management Alternatives team, supporting a global operating model for private markets, hedge funds, real assets, infrastructure, and private debt. Partner with stakeholders to design and embed scalable operating models, controls, and third-party service arrangements. Drive process mapping, complexity and risk assessments, and end-to-end documentation aligned to HSBC standards, including third-party provider engagement and operational due diligence for cross-border initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

•Design and set up operating models for new and evolving Alternatives capabilities, including portfolio/fund structures across asset classes, countries and entities.
•Deliver changes to existing operating models to reflect new services, processes, controls and regulatory expectations.
•Contribute to a global operating framework including complexity and risk assessments, and produce end-to-end documentation aligned to HSBC standards.
•Drive end-to-end process mapping with Functional Architecture and 1st and 2nd Line of Defence risk and controls teams to ensure review and assurance.
•Assist with third-party provider engagement and operational due diligence for cross-border transactions, including integration planning and impact/cost and risk/issues management.

Key Requirements

•Experience in investment operations / middle office within asset management, with exposure to alternative investment products; Real Assets and/or Private Credit operating models and fund structures are desirable.

•Demonstrated operational risk management capability in a changing environment, with a continuous improvement mindset.
•Experience working with outsourced service providers and assessing operational/technology service offerings.
