Job Summary

Serve as a strategic HR business partner to Legal, People, and Finance leaders within Checkr’s G&A organization. Advise on org design, workforce planning, and talent strategy; lead complex performance management and sensitive employee relations cases with Legal support. Drive organizational change for restructures and M&A integrations, support succession and talent calibration, and use people analytics to identify root causes and shape proactive interventions.

Key Responsibilities

•Act as a trusted advisor to Legal, People, and Finance leaders on org design, workforce planning, and talent strategy aligned to business priorities.
•Lead complex performance management, coaching senior leaders through performance improvement plans, difficult conversations, and high-risk terminations in partnership with Legal.
•Drive organizational change management for restructures, M&A integration, and other org transitions while minimizing disruption and maintaining trust.
•Support succession planning, talent calibration, and high-potential development for the G&A client group.
•Use people analytics (engagement, attrition, calibration data) to identify root causes and shape proactive interventions; help run enterprise HR programs within the G&A group.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 165,000 - 194,000 annually

Key Requirements

•8+ years of progressive HR experience, including 3+ years as an HRBP supporting senior leaders (Director+), ideally within Legal, People, or Finance.
•Comfort using AI tools, with a track record of personally driving AI-enabled initiatives to improve HR processes or business outcomes.
•Experience leading org design, workforce planning, and change management initiatives.
•Deep knowledge of employment law, performance management, and HR best practices, including partnering with Legal on complex ER matters.
•Experience using people data and analytics to inform recommendations; Workday experience required (Culture Amp preferred).
