Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate, inspect, and monitor steam power plant equipment and associated auxiliary systems in a safe, efficient, reliable, and environmentally sound manner.
  • •Observe operating condition variations, interpret meter/gauge readings, and troubleshoot equipment to resolve operational problems.
  • •Monitor and record operating data into shift logs using instruments, recording charts, annunciator systems, and other monitoring devices.
  • •Recognize safety hazards and follow safety guidelines, including Tag Out/Lock Out procedures.

Key Requirements

  • •1-2 years’ experience as a Plant Operator in a power plant environment, or operator experience in another industry with on-the-job training capability.
  • •Ability to operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid driver’s license.
  • •Complete the Gas Turbine Fundamentals Course.
  • •Read and interpret blueprints, schematic diagrams, procedures, and technical manuals; perform basic flow/pressure/meter calculations.
